Abstract

The present work elaborates a vision of the African diasporic subject through the metaphor of the symbolic borders that the literary text, “Na beira do mar”, by Manuela Margarido - from São Tomé, through the mark of “personalist humanism”, (BOBBIO; MATTEUCCI; PASQUINO, 1992), denounces. The Sao Tome poet articulates the mode of appropriation of the historical subject submissive to the world of capital since the creation of borders forged by colonial agreements.
