Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

RULES FOR PUBLICATION IN THE TRAVESSIA MAGAZINE

Travessia Magazine publishes: dossiers, original articles, research notes, interviews, reviews, reports, poems, short stories. The texts can be in: Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, English etc.

ARTICLES - Up to 20 pages, Times New Roman font, size 12, space between lines - 1.5, margins: left and right - 2.5, header and footer - 2.5

SEARCH NOTES - Up to 10 pages, Times New Roman font, size 12, space between lines- 1.5, margins: left and right - 2.5, header and footer - 2.5

REPORTS - Up to 7 pages, Times New Roman font, size 12, space between lines - 1.5, margins: left and right - 2.5, header and footer - 2.5

INTERVIEWS - Up to 10 pages, Times New Roman font, size 12, space between lines- 1.5, margins: left and right - 2.5, header and footer - 2.5

REVIEWS - Up to 5 pages, Times New Roman font, size 12, space between lines - 1.5, margins: left and right - 2.5, header and footer - 2.5

Travessia Magazine adopts ABNT NBR 6023/2002 as the standard for document reference in academic texts. Seeking to facilitate the work of the authors of Travessia, we present, below, a synthesis of NBR 6023/2002 based on their original document and also the compendium prepared by Luciana Pizzani and Rosemary Cristina da Silva (2016). The following summary does not dispense consultation of the original and complete document (NBR 6023/2002) from ABNT.
