Infância migrante em Roraima: o aumento de crianças nos processos migratórios internacionais na fronteira Brasil – Venezuela

This article’s thematic proposal is to analyze the growth in the presence of children in international migration processes to Roraima in recent years, highlighting Venezuelan migration due to the State’s territorial position, direct border with the indicated country. The research sought to debate the aspects and characteristics of migrant childhood in the State; highlight the increase in the number of children in international migration processes in Roraima; elucidate the possible causes of this growth and the impacts of migration on children’s lives, and point out how competent institutions deal with this vulnerable group. The study adopted a descriptive methodology, of a qualitative nature, and collected data through a bibliographical review of scientific articles, reports from organizations and institutions that work on the migration issue, public data from governmental and non-governmental sources, in addition to media articles about of the topic, to deepen this agenda in migration studies in interdisciplinary dialogue. Preliminary results point to an increase in this population, boosted by the growth in the feminization of migration, a phenomenon that highlights the greater number of women moving across borders around the world.
