Piauienses na citricultura paulista

Abstract

The article addresses questions derived from the migration of families of small-scale farmers from northeastern Brazil working in citriculture in the State of São Paulo. Take as Field of study the city of Matão, in the Central Region of São Paulo State, and Jaicós, in the southeastern of Piauí State. The reflections arise from fieldwork conducted from March to July of 2012 and pay attention to the living conditions of this population, being subject to the unleashing effects caused by their migration and their poverty.
