Public policies in basic education and the migratory context: the spectrum of the naturalization of violence in school relations
Keywords:
Immigrant children, Schools, Public policiesAbstract
This study is part of the reflections on migratory processes, particularly in the municipality of Campo Grande, in Mato Grosso do Sul-MS, with the purpose of analyzing the specificities of the experiences of migrant and refugee children and adolescents in the sphere of insertion in school, as well as identifying the existence of public practices and policies existing in the school space. The theoretical basis for analysis is socio-historical psychology, from a Marxist perspective that allows a dialectical understanding of the aforementioned experiences that are constituted within the concrete society, without disregarding the singularities of the subject’s existence. The partial results of the field research developed in the Project “Between flowers, mirrors and unequal faces: the dialectic of feminine strength in human displacements”, financed by the Foundation for Support to the Development of Education, Science and Technology of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul (Fundect) No. 10/2022 - Women in Science in Mato Grosso do Sul (Brazil) will also be presented. The conversation circles and recreational activities were essential for accessing elements that are in a latent state in the subjective network that is now presented through art.
