This article seeks to argue that the Brazilian diaspora is characterized by the heterogeneity. We assume that the Brazilian Immigration Studies traditionally tend not to pay attention to the several dimensions of the migration as constituent parts of our diaspora. This article is based on the example of the Brazilian women in South Florida. The research was based on intensive field research conducted between 2002 and 2015, which has combined a number of sources and different qualitative methods. We show that the experiences of immigrant women indicate that subjective context cannot be generalized. At the same time, individual experiences constitute and explain broader collective frameworks. This fact complicates any expectation of unique explanations for migration.
