Tradição e identidade étnica nas práticas de transmissão de nomes de batismo em um grupo de imigrantes italianos

the present article has, as the main scopus, the analysis of nomination practices in a group of Italian immigrants and descendants in Campo largo, Paraná, in the earlier XIX century and at the begining of XX century. the objective of this article is to understand how the practices in transmission of baptism names occurred inside the group, analysing the frequence of the first names given to boys and girls during a fifty years interval. the analysis of the frequency male and female names in the group was carried out from the parishes registers (baptism, marriage and death minutes) and systematized for the methodology of family reconstitution, originated from historical demography.
