Abstract

This article intends to share some conclusions of the research Lembranças de Antigos Moradores da Zona Leste de São Paulo: migrantes nordestinos e história de bairros. The project tried to analyze the relationship between migrants from “Nordeste” of Brazil living in the Eastern Area of São Paulo and the nonimmigrants. For that, it was used the oral history method. This article tries to analyze the migration networks of the Nordestinos in São Paulo, suggesting that migration is a multidimensional phenomenon.
