In this text, we intend to present and reflect on the Ponte Sedes Project, created in 2010 and that functionate in the psychological clinic of the Sedes Sapientiae Institute. The Ponte Sedes Project indicate to the importance of bringing to work with migrants the questioning of the place of origin and destination, since abandoning these internal places is not possible psychically because they constitute the subject itself. As a team of professionals working with migrants and refugees, we understand the importance of mental health care. For, by losing the shared context, the migrant loses references that constituted it. With this, its identity undergoes changes, one has to build a new history. If the subject does not revisit this identity, it compromises their crossing. The mental health support services developed under the Ponte Sedes Project contribute to a better perception of the detachment of the migrant’s victimization position towards powerful subjective places. This is the core of our analytical work, that has the aim of making possible the elaboration of the crossing and of promoting the work of subjectivation of the migrant helping him to occupy again the place of actor of his own history.
