There are two ways to approach the topic of Bible and Migration. The first is to choose some biblical texts, where human displacement is explicitly mentioned, and to reflect on the current reality of migratory movements based on such references. The second is to try to re-read the entire Bible from the perspective of the People of God on the way, from Patriarch Abraham - “a wandering Aramaean” - to the experience of Christian communities in the first centuries of our era. In this text we look for a kind of middle ground between the two routes. That is, at the same time that we will take some privileged episodes to approach the binomial that serves as our title, we will have as a backdrop the historical saga of the People of Israel towards the Promised Land, as well as the trajectory of the Jesus movement, a “ wandering pilgrim ”in the lands of Palestine.
