The state of São Paulo is one of the largest commodities producer (sugar, ethanol, orange juice, coffe, etc.) of the country. For two decades, the agricultural production model implemented has been characterized by a process that has two sides: a) the accelarated development of modernization, through the massive use of advanced technologie, the result of which has been the dismissal of hundreds of thousands of workers; b) the erasure of working memory. Given this context, the objective of this article is to make some reflections about the production of a digital repository, containing the memory of rural workers. This repository consists in a collection of more than a thousand hours of interviews with migrants, men and women from Vale do Jequitinhonha, Paraíba, Maranhão, Piauí, in addition to several municipalities in the state of São Paulo, and also with rural settlers and settlers. The interviews took place over in the last four decades.
