The school space is configured, increasingly, as a space of conflict of values and beliefs, especially in large urban centers where ethnic and cultural diversity provided by migratory movements placed in the same space, children and youth different nationalities, religions, beliefs and values. This text aims to present some contributions to debate emerging issues bringing education to the center of the discussions the challenges encounter faced by children of immigrant in the school. The objective was to analyze some elements that may or may not be configured as exclusion factors of those subjects in the school space and, from this, in the receives society. The reflections presented here are a constituent part of the theoretical discussion of my master’s thesis, which aimed to analyze how the adaptation process (and / or inclusion) of immigrant children within the school. Among the challenges facing education today, problems arising from cultural diversity in the school space is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing. This analysis will focus on three important aspects of the theme for reflection: a discussion about the concepts of inclusion and exclusion and the relationship established with the subject of migration; presentation of some “places” of exclusion that affect immigrant children in the school space and, finally, some reflections about a “ borderless education “ as a way of promoting citizenship and social justice.
