Participação e representação na 1ª Conferência sobre Migrações e Refúgio no Distrito Federal

Abstract

This paper analyzes the conferential process of Migrations and Refugee held in the Federal District. The study was based on participant observation and analysis of the official documents to the concepts of participation and representation. The analysis showed that international migrations and refugee are phenomena with certain invisibility in the Federal District. Therefore, the awareness scenarios propitiated by the conference in this locality are relevant. In this sense, the recognition of the migrants, refugees and organizations from civil societies that defend their rights is a significant progress achieved in this conference.
