The study surveyed 15 Brazilian women and 8 Dominican women who experienced the situation of trafficking in clubs in Suriname. This paper discusses the situations of violations experienced by these women before and during the trafficking situation. One conclusion of the study is the perception of the relationship between the situation of women and the context of gender relations in the Amazon, as well as results of development policies implemented in the region.
